As of August of 2010, S&J is no longer on the Better Business Bureau roster.
Although a visit to the BBB's website will tell you that our accreditation was revoked due to failure to resolve complaints, we feel our clients deserve to know our side of the story.
Firstly, we should say that customer satisfaction means everything to us at S&J. Our customers have kept us in business for over thirty years and made us one of the top engine remanufacturers in the world. We are in the business of keeping our people happier and we have an industry-leading warranty that helps insure that we do just that.
As the BBB site will tell you, we have had complaints. What they don't mention is that in each of these cases we tried to the best of our abilities to address and rectify any issues before the BBB arbitrators had to get involved. We’ve even encouraged those with a complaint to go to small claims courts in the interest of saving time and money - for everyone involved.
Obviously, the Better Business Bureau doesn’t appreciate our actions in circumnavigate their largely redundant resolution process and, as a result of S&J's refusal to pay exorbitant ‘processing fees’, they have removed us from their roster of accredited businesses. We stand by our decision and actions firmly.
